HomeDIYCalcs is a small project building practical, no-nonsense calculators for home improvement projects.

Most online calculators either require an account, drown you in ads, or use formulas that don't match how contractors actually estimate materials. The goal here is different: clear inputs, accurate results, and a fast page that loads on any device.

Why I built this

Calculating tile, paint, mulch, or concrete by hand is annoying. Most existing tools are cluttered or push you toward buying products. This site is for people who just want to know one thing: how much do I need?

How accurate are the calculators?

The formulas are based on industry-standard calculations used by contractors and material suppliers. Waste factors follow common professional recommendations (10% for standard layouts, 15% for diagonal or complex patterns). Always double-check measurements before purchasing materials.
